Hungry Fan Social Media Intern

The Role:

We are looking for a social media and sports obsessed Social Media Intern to support Hungry Fan’s social media team across Instagram & Facebook. In this role you’ll be on the frontlines of Hungry Fan’s consumer experience and charged with engaging our community of fans and growing the community though original and curated content. We are a startup, so we are looking for someone with a strong work ethic who is interested in social media marketing, influencer marketing, content marketing and sports marketing. This is a part-time internship - 10 hours/week - we have a remote working policy however you may be asked to check-in from time to time with the team via in-person meetings as well as attend shoots and events to capture content.


  • Staying up to date on social media trends - have a pulse on platform innovation and updates, including algorithm changes, new products, etc.

  • Be an expert on how to work within the platforms’ various products (e.g. Instagram Stories, Instagram DM, etc) including content specifications and processes

  • Influencer research and outreach

  • Social Copywriting and Content Creation

    • Curating relevant content to re-post/share

    • Creating original in-feed posts & ig stories with the help of our social team

    • Work in iOS apps to create or finesse assets as well as schedule/manage posts

  • Contribute new ways to engage with audiences on Instagram

  • Community management on social media platforms including Instagram and Facebook.


  • A passion for social media and interest in or experience managing social media channels, copywriting and content creation.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Experience creating visual assets from scratch (images, GIFs, video clips)

  • Working towards a degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field; graphic design background a bonus

  • A passion for real-time storytelling and brand strategy in the sports/lifestyle space

  • Outstanding communications skills (verbal, written, and presentation) and a dynamic social presence

  • Ability to stay organized and work with a project management software

  • Strong time management skills required
