Gaylord Perry used his own “special trick” to strike out Reggie Jackson in the 1982 World Series, and while some would call it “cheating,” others may call it an intense desire to win. When pitching to a whole backyard of hungry fans at your humble abode, a special trick in a pinch is as clutch as a bit of grease under your brim. What’s our 11th inning secret pitch you ask? “Magic Dust.” Not the Darryl Strawberry kind, but the everything barbecue seasoning kind that adds on a fantastically deeper layer to braised short ribs, fire-scorched T-bones, or around the rim of an ice-cold beer. Undoubtedly, it will have your fans—i.e., guests—asking, “How do you make it taste so good?” That’s the magic right there, Hungry Fans. Bring home the W. Use it as a meat cure on pork loin, a finishing dust on baby backs, and most importantly, as a gift to friends who will without fail ask for a dip into your secret stash. Just double the recipe and buy some extra 6-ounce jars for little to-go gifts. Now that’s some #hungryfanmagic.
