Smoked Pork Loin & Peppers

The person who first said “Love has no bounds” would not love a regular roasted pork loin—at least not after they’ve tasted this beautiful smoked hog. We surround this gorgeous piece of pork with some crispy and spicy fried shishitos. Some of us here at Hungry Fan® would literally move mountains for 10 minutes alone with this dish. Just sayin’.


  • 2 pounds pork loin

  • 1/2 cup yellow mustard

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 1/2 pouch Hungry Fan® BBQ Spice Blend

  • Salt & pepper

  • 2 pounds shishito peppers

  • 1-2 tbsp canola oil


For the Pork:

  1. Rub the pork loin with mustard and honey.

  2. Then sprinkle the pork loin with the BBQ spice blend, salt and pepper.

  3. Let sit for 15 minutes while you bring your smoker to 220 degrees F.

  4. Smoke the pork for 3 hours.

  5. Let the pork rest for 10 minutes and then slice it in 1/2 inch rounds.

For the Shishito Peppers:

  1. Add the canola oil into a frying pan and bring up to heat over a medium to medium-high flame.

  2. Add the peppers into the skillet and fry for 1 minute. Remove the pepers from the skillet.

  3. Salt the peppers and serve alongside the pork loin slices.
