Leftover Turkey Cocktail

What happens the day after Thanksgiving? A less inspired, guilt-laden version of the former...and usually served cold. Let’s bring some heat back via the “Leftover Turkey” bottled cocktail! It’s rich, hot, spicy and smoky--and it transports in a thermos extremely well. You’re ready to go! Makes 6 cocktails.


  • 1 oz. Cholula chipotle hot sauce

  • 11 oz. Smoked turkey bone stock

  • 7 oz. Mezcal Creyente

  • 2 oz. cinnamon simple syrup

  • 2 oz. Cardamaro amaro

  • 3 oz. lemon juice

  • 5 shakes of mole bitters


  1. Add all ingredients to a pot with the burner on medium low.

  2. Heat until hot.

  3. Find an empty wine bottle.

  4. Get a funnel.

  5. Carefully pour all of the ingredients into the bottle through the funnel.

  6. Serve hot.
